iOS 15 update for Square merchants: Please wait before updating any active devices running SalesVu apps to iOS 15

IMPORTANT NOTICE!


Before updating any active devices to IOS Release 15, which is due to be released from Apple today, please wait for further notification.
Once our internal test lab has concluded its testing, we will notify you again that it is OK to proceed with installation of the update.
To disable automatic updates please see instructions below

To disable automatic iOS updates follow the steps below:

  • Head to Settings
  • Go to General > Software Update > Customize Automatic Updates
  • Disable the “Download iOS Updates” and “Install iOS Updates” toggles.

SalesVu 8.3 Release

SalesVu 8.3 will be released early next week starting Sept 14th. Please disable automatic updates on your iPads to avoid any interruptions in the middle of a shift. If you prefer to manually update then we would recommend updating before or after business hours when the shift has been closed out.
 
-Go to ‘Settings’ of your iPad (home screen)
-Touch on ‘iTunes and App Store’
-Automatic Downloads -> Disable ‘Updates’
 
The latest SalesVu 8.3 update will include the following:
 
1. Merge open orders and removing pre-authorizations

Suspending SalesVu During Temporary Business Closures

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, we understand that many businesses will need to suspend their SalesVu account until operations continue. With that said, you can suspend your SalesVu subscription (must be completed before April 1st 2020) by following the steps below however please note that you will no longer have access to the data within your SalesVu account until the subscription is reactivated.  

1. Sign into SalesVu.com
2. Click on the ‘App Center’
3. Click on the ‘Stop’ button (my apps or solutions tab)
4. If you have multiple locations, click on the ‘Purchase’ button to view a list of all locations and subscription status to deactivate

Announcement to Food & Drink businesses impacted by Coronavirus

Dear SalesVu users,

We’ve been receiving an increasing number of requests for self-service and mobile/online ordering options from our customers being impacted by Coronavirus restrictions on the Food & Drink industry, so I wanted to take a moment to reach out and share some of our solutions that might be helpful for you at this time.

We recently released a new version of our self-order kiosk app, “OrderUp by SalesVu”, which can be used by curb-side (or unattended counter) customers placing orders from a safe distance. The app is designed for self-service and all our customers who have used it have seen an increase in average-ticket size, thanks the appealing interface and up-sell recommendations. And of course, we would highly recommend putting a set of alcohol wipes next to the kiosk station for customers to sanitize the iPad before and after each use.
