Maybe we’re partial, but this looks like San Francisco’s best golfing!

The Company

Eagle Club Indoor Golf (ECIG) brings a real golf experience to an indoor environment in the heart of downtown San Francisco. Using a real set of clubs and balls, golfers can practice in driving stalls or in a simulation room to play 18 holes in just about an hour per person. ECIG’s goal is to help customers get the most out of their game by using the latest launch monitor and simulation technology to help gather data on players’ ball flight or put them in the context of a shot they’re struggling with on a real course.

The Needs

Eagle Club needs an iPad POS in order to maximize their golf space and limit the office and desk clutter.

“Not having wires running everywhere and a bulky screen helps make that possible,” said Owner Michael Sharratt.

The SalesVu Decision

After looking into Square, PayPal and Intuit, SalesVu iPad POS turned out to be the right solution for ECIG. A big factor in their decision was that SalesVu is cheaper than a traditional POS system/merchant service provider on both startup and monthly costs. Sharratt also loved the “cool features for easy setup.”

“SalesVu was an easy choice with the cheaper processing price, cloud based features, inventory control and quick deposit times,” said Sharratt.

The Results

Sharratt likes the cloud based system as they use two registers, one cash drawer and one receipt printer.

“We can open up orders on one and close it on the other, which is important if one iPad is out taking drink orders so customers checking out at the front desk can close their orders there,” said Sharratt.

SalesVu iPad POS allows ECIG to be more profitable as they don’t have to pay additional fees and can access next day payments.

“For a startup, cash flow is essential and not having a waiting period to receive our payments is crucial to paying our bills on time or getting that crucial piece of equipment or advertising sooner rather than later,” said Sharratt.

Eagle Club has saved at least $1,000 upfront by not going with a traditional POS system.

“I used to sell merchant services so I know we’re paying far less,” he said.

According to Sharratt, they’re saving hundreds of dollars over the course of a year by not using similar solutions to SalesVu; plus, the savings in times because of the cloud based system, reports and lack of system downtime.

SalesVu iPad POS System at Craft Brewing Company

63368_159780827368087_6624657_n

Craft Brewing Company (CBC) is a small microbrewery in Lake Elsinore, Ca. CBC is distributed throughout Riverside and Orange county but is rapidly expanding. Currently, they produce around 1,000 barrels per year and are growing production as they expand their reach. CBC runs a tasting room in the brewery, which is open 7 days/week and serves all of their production beers as well as specialty beers that are only offered in-house.

CBC came across SalesVu when looking for a more “sophisticated” POS system than the electronic cash register they were using; they read an article comparing Square to SalesVu. According to one of the CBC’s partners Tim Reagan, the cash register served them well but lacked capabilities and interfacing abilities. In addition to looking at Square, CBC also considered NCR Silver.

“We were really wanting to go to a POS that allowed us to set up a more intuitive retail system that was less confusing to train individuals on; we also wanted more accurate tracking of products,” said Reagan. “With the old style cash register we were not able to do this and what information we could get from it was very time-consuming in moving it from that device into a spreadsheet so that we could do some form of analysis on the data.”

When researching POS systems, Reagan broke down the abilities and functions of each system to compare them and see if each would perform the same operations and have similar processes as what they were already doing to avoid a difficult transition for the staff.

“All the systems have unique features that separate them from each other, but when it came down to it the SalesVu application gave us 95% of what we were looking for,” said Reagan. “With SalesVu iPad POS, we are now able to get all data regarding how certain products are doing even while the business is open real time.”

Having an iPad POS is important for Craft Brewing because they sell tastings on location, bottles to go, growlers and retail merchandise. They also do events which sometimes allow them to sell their merchandise.

“[This] is one of the reasons we were looking for a system that not only allows us to use it in our tasting room but also would give us the ability to do remote sales for events,” said Reagan. “This allows us to tie the databases for sales together and do reporting and inventory tracking much more easily.”

“We are also going to grow the [SalesVu] system as we grow our retail; at some point we will have more than one terminal in the tasting room and potentially have multiple terminals running off-site as well,” said Reagan.

District House Explains How SalesVu iPad POS System is Setting the Bar

Screen Shot 2015-01-20 at 7.21.51 PM

District House (DH) is an Oklahoma City coffee bar, deli and event center that hosts art and live bands on a regular basis. DH heard about SalesVu’s iPad POS from several businesses in the area that use it and “love it.”

“We had been using Square for our catered events and found that SalesVu was a much better option and that our employees loved the easy, intuitive design of SalesVu,” said DH Manager Joshua Cain.

“When looking around at options we looked at Square and our bank’s business system, but in talking with our business banker, she said that ‘our system can’t even begin to compete with SalesVu. We now have our IT guys looking into it and seeing what we can do to improve ours.’ She was blown away with how easy and cost effective it was. We had to go with SalesVu; no one could beat it or come close,” said Cain.

As a small business with a lot of space to cover, DH is able to use different mobile devices to manage the many events they host. With SalesVu, they can rearrange their space and having mobile sales stations makes it convenient and practical at events. They can use their iPad POS at the door for concerts or at the coffee cart during catered events.

“I’m able to add an artist and sell art on demand with the custom price option,” said Cain. “I love being able to see what we are doing in one report and manage my inventory based on the wide range of reporting and options that SalesVu offers; it makes my job as a manager easier and I take less time doing orders and tracking.”

Additionally, Cain likes that SalesVu is one of the only mPOS solutions that offers a time clock. He also says his employees find it easy and convenient to sign in on the computer, iPad, iPhone or other devices they have synced up.

“There is no way that District House could be so cost effective and run so smoothly without a simple and easy POS system like SalesVu,” said Cain. “We love it!”

SalesVu iPad POS System Customer Support is a Standout for Arcieri Confections

1385546_375569549240633_1391957968_n

The Company

  • Arcieri Confections (AC) makes handcrafted artisan bark that is sold at markets, online and by order.

“I have been, and still am, a restaurant designer for 30 years,” said Arcieri Confections Owner Dawn Arcieri. “I have always had a passion for creating desserts and entertaining. Creating the chocolate bark has become a fantastic outlet for that passion, not to mention it is an awesome product that most people seem to truly enjoy.”

The Needs

  • Many orders are purchased on corporate credit cards and AC does not have a storefront, as Arcieri frequently delivers to clients.

Choosing an mPOS

  • In addition to researching SalesVu iPad POS, Arcieri also considered using Square, PayPal and Wells Fargo.

“I did a lot of research when deciding on a POS solution,” said Arcieri. “At first I chose SalesVu for the rates, but as I dug deeper there were many other features that would allow me to adjust as I grew; the customer service was great too! I must have called five or six times before making a final decision and every time the person I spoke to was informative and helpful.”

  • Arcieri’s favorite things about SalesVu are the ability to add and subtract items and rework the inventory as she needed to fit her business.

What Stands Out?

“Everyone at SalesVu has always been so helpful,” said Arcieri. “Amazingly enough, even when I call on a Sunday morning, someone will take the time to walk me through my challenge at the time.”

  • Customer support

“I remember one Saturday right after I had gotten the new swipe device for my iPad, I was at a show and couldn’t get it to swipe; I panicked of course,” said Arcieri. “I called SalesVu and got someone immediately. Thank goodness it was as simple as turning up the volume, but for me it was a life saver at the time!”

The Results

  • AC has saved money on a POS station and software.

“[SalesVu] has made it easier for my clients to make payments other than cash or check,” said Arcieri.

Little Art Theatre Adopts SalesVu iPad POS System

littleart-lobby

The Company

  • Little Art Theatre (LAT) of Yellow Springs, Ohio is a small, single screen, non-profit theater that shows a variety of independent, foreign and mainstream movies and documentaries.

“Education and the arts are high on our priority list,” said Roger Reynolds of LAT. “We offer a venue for special events ranging from weddings and birthday parties to speakers and live music.”

  • LAT has been in business for over 84 years and just completed a $500,000 renovation as part of an upgrade to digital projection and sound.

Why an mPOS?

  • Having an iPad POS solution allows LAT to move outside for special community events in the area.

  • The theater has two stations: one for tickets and one for concessions.

The SalesVu Decision

  • LAT looked at many other POS systems, such as Intuit, Shopkeep and movie theater-specific systems.

  • The theater heard that another local business had recently opened using SalesVu and consulted with them.

“Price was a huge factor for us and having someone else in the area also using SalesVu,” said Reynolds.

The Results

  • Extensive reporting options allows LAT to do a “much better job” on inventory tracking and cash/change errors.

“The end of day reporting is saving on manual actions that we previously performed to track and report theater attendance,” said Reynolds.

  • Save paperwork and employee time

Barnstormer Winery Explains Which SalesVu iPad POS System Features Make the Difference for Them

382537_139937489545487_1434071166_n

The Company

Barnstormer Winery (BW) is a Seneca Lake winery located in a century-old, historic barn.

“Just like the Barnstormer pilots of the 1920’s, we make it our mission to entertain and provide our guests with an unforgettable experience,” said Kyle Knapton, BW tasting room manager.

The newly renovated winery offers a wide array of Finger Lakes wines.

“We incorporate the charm of the rustic barn into the design of our laid back tasting room where you can relax, enjoy great wines and experience a slice of the Finger Lakes wine region that you will be sure to remember,” said Knapton.

BW also provides local cheeses, cured meats, snacks and beverages for creating your own picnic to go.

Choosing an iPad POS

Barnstormer needed an mPOS because they “run everything” from behind a square tasting bar.

“It’s best to take our POS to our customer rather than make them search for a checkout location,” said Knapton.

When researching their first POS system, BW looked into Shopkeep and SalesVu. They chose SalesVu as it seemed to be the most affordable and customer-service oriented POS that also fully tracked inventory.

“We love the ability to track our inventory and get sales reports instantly online from any location,” said Knapton. “The ease of getting all of the information is incredible! This allows us to track daily sales and set up employee scheduling at a moment’s notice.”

All Zen Boutique Considers SalesVu iPad POS System “a Blessing” for Inventory Tracking, Quickbooks and much more

ZenLogoFinal_full

All Zen Boutique (AZB) is a wellness products boutique that focuses on bringing the comfort and luxury of the spa to you online or at a private venue. AZB is an extension of Owner Nicole Batiste’s holistic health coach practice.

Batiste heard about SalesVu when she was looking for a way to maintain her inventory. She also looked into QuickBooks and Microsoft but both were thousands of dollars.

“I considered them too expensive for a small business like mine,” said Batiste.

Batiste has also used PayPal and Intuit GoPayment.

“I chose SalesVu because it offered the whole POS system, it was more cost effective and you can start small and grow so the scalability of the system is perfect,” said Batiste. “I love that it has a small barcode reader that works with the system and most importantly, it’s portable!”

AZB needs an iPad POS because it involves private venues, events and online sales.

“I do not have a storefront just yet so SalesVu has been a blessing,” said Batiste.

When asked what her favorite feature is, she said “the whole system!”

“I love that I can sync with my QuickBooks online account, the fact that I can maintain my inventory, generate orders and look more professional with my barcode scanner as I’m ringing up client purchases,” said Batiste. “There’s so much I can do with this system.”

SalesVu’s Simplicity iPad POS System and Abundance of Features is Key at Blowback Armory

378382_10150445987477544_427898509_n

The Company

Blowback Armory (BA) is an airsoft company that specializes in the most realistic airsoft guns (primarily gas blowback airsoft guns). BA caters guns and parts and does custom work and build services.

“We’re definitely more of a custom shop than any other company, currently,” said Owner John Young. “We also have a vision of bringing a truly realistic, low cost, high safety training solution for tactical force-on-force applications for law enforcement, military and even civilian groups that are interested in doing defense training with a “non-gun” sim weapon.”

BA also does in-house design and manufacturing of some items and hopes to expand with their own line of Made-in-USA “Training Grade” airsoft solutions.

“Of course, we also love supporting the consumer airsoft community as well and offering services that are unheard of in the industry,” said Young.

The Needs

Blowback Armory needed an mPOS solution because they go out to local airsoft games and community events.

“We really didn’t like the idea of having a bulky POS in the shop plus a pseudo mobile POS for events and separate books, etc,” said Young. “We’re fans of simplicity.”

iPad POS Solutions

BA tried Square, SalesVu, an mPOS from their usual merchant service provider and several others but felt that they were doing more work than they needed to be doing. As Young explained, some apps were very expensive — “hundreds or thousands for a turnkey solution.”

SalesVu is the most robust non-purchase retail POS solution that we’ve seen,” said Young. “It really seemed different from the rest of the ‘free’ solutions in that there is a more conventional admin-type interface available online, multiple ways to administer, etc.”

Using SalesVu

  • Young likes how the category system works and that it supports multiple devices.

“The features list is really surprising, seeing as this is a non-purchase app,” said Young.

  • The search feature is very helpful at BA.

“As simple as it sounds, [the search feature] really cuts down on the time needed to search for items in multiple categories,” said Young. “With another solution I used, I had to sift through my items by category. The end result would be excessive lengths of time to ring up a customer, which is kind of counterproductive; faster times at the register means more sales, simple as that.”

The Results

“SalesVu has really simplified the whole POS enigma,” said Young. “POS systems can be very complex, not to mention expensive. With SalesVu, we have a simple, all-in-one solution that we can take anywhere and really use any way we’d like. It’s simple in all the right ways, powerful and feature-rich. It just works!”

  • Blowback Armory was able to save money

“Anyone that’s thought about getting a POS system or iOS-based POS should be well aware the pricing starts in the thousands for one system,” said Young. “We bought an iPad many times cheaper and many times cooler. Plus we can take it with us.”

  • Simplified taxes

“It makes taxes a breeze; I click a few buttons and I’m staring at all the sales I’ve done from web to in-store to an event,” said Young. “It really couldn’t be easier.”
