Tiburon Golf Club gets an ace for convenience using SalesVu’s iPad POS System

T Golf 1
Tiburon Golf Club (TGC) is a semi-private 27-hole facility that handles events such as business outings, graduation parties and league tournaments in Omaha, Nebraska.  They not only offer golf lessons with a PGA professional, but have an on-site sports bar where you can eat your favorite American dishes at any time.

Always working to stay a step ahead of their competition, TGC owner Bob Hill Jr sought a mobile POS solution so their facility could process credit card sales on beverage carts. TGC has three carts that rotate around the 27-holes and they needed to incorporate a system that could manage multiple tabs from different devices. Using SalesVu’s iPad POS solution, TGC has been able to keep the beverage carts running consistently and conveniently on the course while managing different tabs and processing credit cards on the spot. Hill remarked that this software has made it easy to host corporate events because guests can charge multiple drinks on their tab from different locations on the course and have just one receipt to deal with at the end of the day.

Before deciding on SalesVu, Hill downloaded Intuit and other similar software programs but chose SalesVu after speaking with our technical support team.

SalesVu’s reporting feature has helped TGC tremendously as well. Their accountant has been able to use the detailed sales reports to allocate the company’s budget more efficiently. This has also allowed Hill to easily monitor sales trends and make business decisions based on the reports.

Hill says that TGC “loves the software because it works very well.” They were thrilled when they could use SalesVu to process credit cards on the beverage carts while still maintaining the golf-course specific software they use elsewhere on the property. Hill says their next ventures with SalesVu will be to explore the QuickBooks integration and launch an ecommerce website.

SalesVuiPad POS System brings restaurant POS to the cloud at Cloud Cafe

Cloud Café (CC) is a tech-oriented espresso and teahouse that caters to the technology subculture in Katy, Texas. This establishment serves everything from bubble tea to coffee, to Italian soda and much more!

Restaurant POS

“We’re a hidden gem in our area,” said Denae Dehoyos, General Manager at CC.  “We are well known for our espresso based coffee drinks, as well as latte art, and the science behind making amazing coffee!”

CC sought a mobile restaurant POS system for versatility when dealing with different kinds of transactions. Whether they’re in the shop or out at an event, they wanted a system that could effectively and quickly take care of their most important priorities: great customers and great drinks.

Cloud Café has been a customer of SalesVu since their opening. They love the iPad POS system because it allows the use of up-to-date technology which most of their employees already have.

“As we are an all tech-savvy staff at the cafe, we enjoy having up to date technology at our fingertips – literally! It’s so much easier to just have a tablet or iPad (most of us here already own at least one) that we can pop a card reader on and handle our business,” said Dehoyos.

In addition, the reports feature has helped CC organize all of their purchase data by category. They enjoy being able to compare sale statistics in the form of graphs or charts in order to make the best financial choices for the company. The ease of reporting has saved CC “tons of man hours” that would be spent collecting data and entering numbers. Now they can put their minds to work on better, more innovative ideas for the company.

“It just makes so much more sense to save the man hours involved in numbers and marketing,” said Dehoyos. “[With SalesVu], reports are done how I want, in less time and without having to pay someone to do it for me.”

Cloud Café considered Square, as well as a “big, ancient and clunky POS machine that would cost a ton of money”, but decided to go with SalesVu for their business management needs instead.

“We already have phones and tablets handy. Why spend the money on old technology?” said Dehoyos, “We saved tons of money not having to hire an accountant for the company alone. SalesVu makes it easy to let anyone manage the finances.”

Using SalesVu, CC is able to give certain employees different permissions for managing POS transactions. Each month, CC holds a contest among its employees for who has the highest average ticket price for a prize.

“This is a fun and easy way to boost our own sales and we can check their progress easily and without confusion,” said Dehoyos. “It also encourages our employees to perform better on the job.”

SalesVu’s iPad POS System Intuitive Interface benefits SLG’s Art Boutiki

Art Boutiki

SLG’s Art Boutiki and Gallery is a combination of a comic shop, art gallery and live music venue that proudly stands in San Jose, California. The Boutiki is a “brick-and-mortar store” of SLG, a comic publishing company founded in 1986.

As a publisher, SLG frequently travels to trade shows and comic conventions so they needed a point-of-sale system that would be consistent on the road as well as in their San Jose location.

After considering Square and trying out Imonggo, SLG eventually decided to go with SalesVu.

SalesVu offered the most functionality for the price and had an intuitive interface that was easy to get new employees up-to-speed on,” said Dan Vado, Supreme Commander of SLG.

Volunteers usually operate SLG’s point-of-sale transactions during events, so being able to use SalesVu software without much training was a greatly advantageous. In addition, the ability to process credit cards while away from their location increased SLG’s sales immensely.

SDAdish Puts Their Trust in SalesVu’s ECommerce Website for Their Nationwide Business

The Company

SDAdish (SDA) is a small business that sells free-to-air satellite equipment, meaning once you buy the equipment you can watch TV without monthly fees or contracts. SDA has several channel packages available, some of which include up to 200 channels. They also offer installation and repair to customers within a 150 mile radius of their office in Priest River, Idaho. Additionally, SDA has begun selling cell phone boosters, antennas, survival gear and health products.

“Primarily, our goal is to make Christian television available to more people at an affordable cost,” said SDAdish Owner Natalie Ocon. “We also want to make more people aware that there is still free TV available out there, with quality programming as well.”

The Needs

SDAdish needed an iPad POS solution because they frequently attend trade shows and Christian camp meetings where they need to process credit cards on the spot. They also needed to be able to accept credit cards while doing local installations and repairs.

“Because we sell nationwide, almost all of our sales occur over the phone or online,” said Ocon. “Therefore, if we are out in the field doing an installation, we can still take orders and process credit cards while out of the office.”

The SalesVu Decision

Prior to adopting SalesVu, SDAdish was using SecurePay. SDA was able to integrate it “fairly well” with their website, but it had more limitations and many extra fees.

“Also, every year they required us to go through a PCI compliance questionnaire and pay $180; I got pretty tired of that,” said Ocon.

Once deciding to look at other POS systems, SDA considered PayPal, Square and Intuit GoPayment. They chose SalesVu because they had the most features at the best rate.

“[SalesVu] has a low rate, no annual PCI compliance fee or other fees like, statement fees or getaway fees,” said Ocon. “We also needed to be able to integrate the credit card processing with our existing website and be able to use our mobile devices to process cards.”

SalesVu ECommerce

One of SDA’s favorite things about SalesVu is the ECommerce feature.

“We like being able to add products, descriptions, pictures and more to the website and then be able to see them on the app as well,” said Ocon. “We also like the ‘Buy’ buttons that we’ve integrated into our website as the shopping cart.”

According to Ocon, SDAdish was getting thousands of views to the website but they weren’t getting enough conversions to sales with their previous POS shopping cart system.

“It seems that with SalesVu, the checkout process is less confusing to the customer,” said Ocon. “They click on the ‘Buy’ button and are taken to a nice, clean item description page to complete their order.”

SDA also enjoys how easy it is to add new products, as well as remove items from ECommerce with a click of the mouse.

“With our last POS provider, we didn’t have the option to remove items from ECommerce when we were out of stock,” said Ocon. “We had to list it as ‘Out of Stock’ and hope that the customer would read that and not try to continue with the order.”

Ocon’s husband, Max, also had a lot to say about SalesVu’s ECommerce feature:

“The ECommerce has been great,” said Max. “My customers have found that our new system works much better, is easy to use and I like it too! I especially like the SalesVu dashboard and the easy-to-understand interface features for setting up products under categories, all with different options. The [ECommerce] website also works great on mobile devices, like phones.”

“My last service was quite a hassle to work with and you can’t beat SalesVu’s customer service,” said Max. “I give them a 10 and two thumbs up for their quick tech support response.”

The Results

“SalesVu has helped our business by making it possible for our website to be more user-friendly,” said Ocon. “It has also saved us quite a bit of money that we can use elsewhere to help our business grow.”

Ocon says that SDAdish saves about $420/year on fees alone by using SalesVu.

See How Yarn Shop Nikki’s Knots Uses SalesVu’s iPad POS System

Check out SalesVu’s nifty customer, Nikki’s Knots!

Nikki’s Knots (KN) is a yarn shop located in Woodland Park, Colorado. NK stands out from the rest because of its unique lounge area where crafters can hang out, craft and get to know fellow members in the crafting community all while enjoying refreshments.

Nikki’s Needs

When starting her business, Owner Nikki Parsons was looking for a POS system that offered inventory tracking to assess the long-term preferences of her customers. She also was interested in accounting for the profitability of the items she sells. Parsons needed a mobile processor so that she could make sales at the occasional trade show or farmers’ market.

So, Why SalesVu?

Parsons heard about SalesVu through a credit card processor when she was looking for an inventory tracking POS system. At the time, she was using Square and had looked into PayPal, Intuit and LightSpeed prior to joining SalesVu. Her budget would not allow for most POS software and she already owned an iPad that she was comfortable using, making SalesVu iPad POS the obvious choice.

“I love the integration between the computer, my iPad and my iPhone,” said Parsons. “Also you can create employees so you can track the many devices that you may use, along with the password protection.”

Parsons said she could not pick a favorite feature as “there is so much to love!”

“I love the support; you can talk to real people as well as leave messages on the forum boards when you don’t have time for a phone call,” said Parsons. “The support response is so quick.”

She also likes the reports option of this “intuitive” POS system, as she can get information on various aspects of her small business. Parsons most frequently uses the sales report so that she can replenish NK’s stock most efficiently.

Cheers to Pitchfork Brewing Using SalesVu’s iPad POS System

Color_Logo

Pitchfork Brewing (PB), a small Wisconsin brewery, has just adopted SalesVu! PB focuses on brewing craft beer with an emphasis on environmental practices and locally sourced ingredients. They also have a tap room attached to the brewery where customers can stop in for a pint or pick up a growler to take home.

PB Owner Jessie Fredricksen read about SalesVu while researching credit card processors. Fredrickson thought that because PB is a small business with a small budget they would have to use a basic register and an add-on card processing machine. Then, they learned about the various POS systems that operate on iPads and iPhones.

“We discovered that we could have a POS system that provided great analytics without having to buy expensive equipment,” said Fredricksen.

In addition to SalesVu, PB considered Square, Shopkeep, NCR Silver and a traditional cash register. PB chose SalesVu’s POS system because it has everything they need in an iPad POS for a great price.

“Square wouldn’t let us run tabs for our customers, which we absolutely need in the tap room,” said Fredricksen. “We also liked the sturdier card reader that comes with SalesVu, as well as the in-depth analysis that the program can run for us. We are just beginning to scratch the surface of using all the data that SalesVu provides.”

With SalesVu, PB can operate smoothly when they are busy. They can now process transactions on the spot while delivering kegs to restaurants, outdoor festivals and events. Their favorite feature is the ability to run tabs for customers because they can swipe the card, leave the tab open under the customer’s name and keep track of multiple tabs simultaneously.

“This is incredibly helpful, especially when the tap room is busy,” said Fredricksen. “Another great thing about SalesVu is that it’s very easy to setup and use. It is quite intuitive and user friendly; I was able to teach everyone in the company how to use it very quickly.”

Have You Tried an Armadillo’s Ice Cream?

Armadillo’s Ice Cream Shoppe (AICS) is a true hometown, locally owned ice cream shoppe that serves a multitude of items: from sundaes to shakes or malts to old fashioned ice cream sodas. They also serve a variety of lunch and dinner options including: paninis, wraps and sandwiches. AICS is best known for their renowned homemade sherbet.

“We are committed to providing the best food and ice cream around with the best customer experience you can get, all at a reasonable price,” said Owner Michael Brummer.

When AICS heard about SalesVu iPad POS from another local business, they were in the process of using Square but were concerned about their accounting and reporting features. They also looked into PayPal when researching the best restaurant POS for them. An iPad POS was important to Armadillo’s because they wanted a touch screen register with the ability to accept credit cards.

“The iPad and free software was the most economically feasible option,” said Brummer. “The software coupled with the credit card services made the SalesVu option very attractive to us.”

SalesVu proved to be the best mobile point of sales system for AICS because “first and foremost SalesVu has the best customer service, along with all the right things [Armadillo’s] wanted from an accounting perspective.” The 25 employees’ transition to SalesVu’s POS system was easy, which made for an enjoyable customer experience as well.

Armadillo’s favorite things about the SalesVu solution are the reporting and customer service.

“The reporting is absolutely amazing; it makes accounting so easy and we can get as detailed or as simple as we like,” said Brummer.

We are thrilled that you chose SalesVu to help run your business, AICS! Send some of that ice cream our way please!

See How This Bookstore Emerged from the Stone Age into the Future with SalesVu iPad POS System

New Wine (NW) is a new and used Christian bookstore connected to New Song Worship Center.

NW discovered SalesVu when looking for a POS system that handled inventory and worked with an iPad or iPhone.

SalesVu saved the day for us,” said New Song Pastor David White. “At the time, everything was expensive and SalesVu was free and so easy! For me it was too good to be true.”

Prior to adopting SalesVu, they used Quickbooks but were forced to upgrade.

“The whole system was costly, glitchy and cumbersome,” said Pastor White of Quickbooks. “So glad to get rid of it! I feel like I have emerged from the Stone Age into the future!”

New Wine had also used Square and PayPal but was dissatisfied with inventory control. They chose SalesVu because it is free, handled inventory, worked with the iPad and was the perfect fit for credit card transactions.

“The swiper is great and perfect for accounting purposes,” said Pastor White. “Both Square and PayPal deduct money from each transaction but SalesVu deposits the full amount with a clean monthly billing and reconciliation; much more business savvy!”

New Wine needed an mPOS for ease of use and the ability to sell their products anywhere they go.

“Streamline, portable, very compact and light, instant setup and no limitations,” said Pastor White.

NW’s favorite thing about SalesVu’s iPad POS is the bluetooth barcode scanner connectivity, which makes transactions quick and customer friendly along with the credit card swiper for “incredibly efficient sales!”

“Our customers are very impressed by the ease and speed of the checkout process and love the hi-tech look and feel of the iPad, app, scanner and swiper package,” said Pastor White. “Also, the simplicity of adding and editing inventory and the way it’s displayed and accessed for transactionslove it!”

Welcome to SalesVu, Joy Craft & Design

Who is Joy Craft & Design?

Joy Craft & Design (JCD), a curated shop in Springdale, Utah that specializes in upcycled, restyled and handcrafted items, has opted for SalesVu’s retail POS! The shop’s collection consists of items that Owner Joy Stein curates herself as well as some of her friends’ treasures to broaden the collection. Stein specializes in upcycling t-shirts into reverse applique skirts, felted soaps and decorative plate stands from tea sets and other found items. The community has added live plants, hand-printed cards, collaged art from vintage story books and zipper jewelry.

Why SalesVu?

As a first-time business owner, Stein had no previous experience with POS systems. She asked around her small community and found that other businesses, such as a local coffee shop and a guide service and outfitter, were using SalesVu. Stein also researched Square, PayPal, ShopKeep and traditional leasing equipment from the bank. Previously, she had used PayPal at craft fairs but preferred the SalesVu iPad POS pricing structure.

“I opted for SalesVu because it seemed on the whole easy to use and relatively straightforward,” said Stein. “I needed something that would give me reports, inventory and a credit card system.”

So far, Stein has found the inventory system and input easy to understand and is pleased with the deposit turnaround time.

See How A Cajun Life, Our AWESOME Customer, Uses SalesVu iPad POS System

The Company

A Cajun Life (ACL) is an authentic Cajun food cart located in Damascus, Oregon. ACL’s menu includes: Gumbo, Bayou Boogie, Crawfish Etouffee and Crawfish Pistolettes. Their meats are flown in directly from a grocer in the heart of Cajun Country. They attend many farmers’ markets and festivals year-round and are currently in the process of launching a line of Cajun seasonings.

The Needs

ACL runs on a part-time basis and therefore has to cook only as much food as demand requires; additionally, since their meats are flown in, they need to be accurate. They also operate in multiple locations depending on the time of year and day of the week. As a result, an iPad POS allows them to accurately track how much of an item they sell each week. That in turn, allows them to determine how much to cook on a weekly basis to minimize waste.

“It helps keep accurate track of our total sales and allows us to effectively follow our sales trends,” said Owner Chris Fontenot.

They were looking for an all-in-one solution that would allow them to have a mobile credit card processing system that could be easily integrated with their POS system.

The SalesVu Decision

After “scouring” the internet for iPad POS providers and looking into Shopkeep, Fontenot came across SalesVu.

“Initially, we were drawn to SalesVu because of the mobile payments rate but then discovered it also came with a free restaurant POS app,” said Fontenot. “After downloading the app and ensuring it would work for us, we fell in love with its ease of use and ability to instantly change anything within the system remotely.”

ACL appreciated that it did not take long to get the POS system setup.

Fontenot’s favorite feature is the reporting tab because it gives him key insights into ACL that he would otherwise be guessing at.

“Best part is, as we grow, so does the system,” said Fontenot.

The Results

“SalesVu iPad POS is a critical component of our business because it allows us to efficiently manage inventory, monitor our sales, determine how much we need to cook, easily train anyone to use it, take it with us from site to site, immediately make changes and update the system without waiting for overnight downloads; the list just goes on,” said Fontenot.

A Cajun Life has saved an estimated $1,000 upfront and several thousand dollars/year ongoing. According to Fontenot, those numbers are based on ongoing monthly fees of similar services and additional fees for the merchant.

“I don’t think we would be as successful as we currently are especially since we run part-time,” said Fontenot. “My gut tells me our waste would have been astronomical and getting ready for taxes near impossible.”

“We are totally satisfied with the product and it has blown us away since we started using it,” said Fontenot. “We have been asked by so many people, business owners and even customers what we use and we have referred them all to SalesVu.”

Thanks for your support, A Cajun Life; we’re so exciting that you chose SalesVu’s POS system!
