We asked Erin Brown’s how was her experience using our services. Only positive comments and a strong willingness to share her experience with other small business owners was perceived.

“Before, Dolce Bakery used Restaurant Pro Express as the point of sale solution. As soon as we heard about the price and the gift card module SalesVu offered, we decided to switch. I remember that while looking to upgrade our point-of-sale system we reviewed several other options including Quickbooks, Square, Shopkeep, Checkout, and Lightspeed. We ultimately went with SalesVu because it was the most reasonable price, had the most options that best fit our type of business, and gave us the best customer service experience compared to all the other point of sales.”

 We wanted to know which was Dolce Bakery favorite feature and which one they would recommend the most to future business owners.

“Our favorite feature would have to be ‘Reports.’ We use it on a daily basis to maintain accurate drawer counts and daily sales as well as we heavily rely on the ability to monitor product sales, pull sale reports for particular days/times, and track sale trends.”

The gift card management module was selected and Dolce Bakery believes it is extremely helpful not only for the Dolce brand, but also to motivate brand loyalty among their customers.

“We love the ability to sell and keep track of Gift Cards within Salesvu. Before SalesVu offered the Gift Card Management feature, we used an external system through Mercury Payment. We were able to sell just as many gift cards then as we are now, however the process was more difficult and the margin of error was much larger due to having to use a separate application to sell, re-load, and check card balances, also while keeping track within SalesVu. It took more time from our employees and our customers, which added stress during shop rushes. The all-in-one Gift Card Management feature has saved us the headache of human-errors, has made the sale process easier on our employees and our customers, and gives management the convenience of pulling reports right from SalesVu instead of a third party card processor. “

Erin told that Dolce Bakery has an eye on the ECommerce website feature since they believe it would help their digital strategy and launch their services to the emerging online world.

“We have yet to use ECommerce, though we are very interested. We have been communicating with SalesVu’s tech support team for certain features and we are hopeful that we will be able to use it in the near future! “

Country Porch Winery started a winery business in a large warehouse north of Cortland,Ohio by teaching wine making, selling homemade wine supplies, and starting their own winery. Wine, cookouts, and great music from local bands, Cortland Wine Cellar enjoyed a busy and fun five plus years of business. They met and made new friends and customers all while planing the perfect location for their winery. Debbie Belts and Sheila Fisher are the co-owners of D&she Inc. Who set out to find a location for their own winery to open in 2012.
“As small business entrepreneurs for 17 years running a fulfilling shipping company a MYO wine store along with a farm produce and antique market,  we knew we would need a good POS system to take care of their front counter, relay information to the kitchen and staff, take care of their customer needs and maintain their inventory, along with capturing all of that information in an easy to use format.”

Business owner Rone de Beauvoir told us that :

We asked Rone what was she using before SalesVu:

 

“I wasn’t really using a system before apart from Square and PayPal. These system services did not, of course, meet my bottom line and need. There were no options to be creative. Honestly, I did not have a chance to consider anyone, as I found SalesVu rather quickly in the beginning process, and immediately made contact, as I knew it represented exactly what I needed.”

Rone’s favorite feature had to involve great management of tables and restaurant, the reason why she told us that the Restaurant POS was ideal for her needs.

Ubuntu Cafe and Bakery baked something great with SalesVu iPad POS System

A mother and a daughter in a small rural town in Manitoba, Canada opened a coffee shop and bakery a year ago. Located in a new library in Slkirk, they converted the basement of their house into a small bakery that supplies the coffee shop with freshly baked goods. Ubuntu Café and Bakery is an independent coffee shop with espresso-based drinks, treats and coffee made with a V-60 pour-over machine. They also offer vintage teas served with bone china, starched white linens, etc. These details set Ubuntu Café and Bakery apart from the rest. It has been a reason why the place has gained so much popularity and now book customers with 3 weeks in advance. Ubuntu Café and Bakery started building a strong customer base early on, selling artisan bread in local Farmer’s Market. Additionally, they became a catering business due to the numerous meetings that develop within the library’s rooms.

We wanted to know why they needed an iPad POS solution and why they choose SalesVu.

“It was more the low cost and simplicity of SalesVu that were the deciding factors. In the future we may be using SalesVu at the markets. We considered that the need for the mobile feature was secondary in our decision-making (up to now we only did cash sales at the markets).”

SalesVu iPad POS and the open tab feature are vital for Darryl’s Couch

Darryl’s Couch is Ventura County’s premier craft beer pub, featuring 11 rotating taps of exclusively craft beer along with an ever-evolving bottle list of over 30 beer selections. At Darryl’s they understand the passion for brewing and in the uniqueness of every sip of the golden liquid. The pub was first attracted to SalesVu because of the ability to open tabs for customers; a feature that is essential for operating efficiently a successful bar.

“We wanted a solution with an integrated credit card system that was easy for our staff to use, with a small device footprint, which allowed us to open tabs for customers while providing back office reports that were meaningful. Having a cloud-based service was desirable since we didn’t really have space for full sized system and data storage. “

Business owner Darryl told us that:

“I had seen other products that didn’t have the open tab feature which would have required us to write down orders and ring them in all at once at the end of the transaction. Looking further into the system I was also attracted to the merchant service rates, contract terms, and the application’s ability to track inventory and employee hours.”

Before SalesVu iPad POS, they were using a standard cash register that was purchased at the time of acquiring the business. He told us that under the traditional system, they were able to track PLU code, but that’s a great disadvantage was that the reports were only shown in the register tape.

Darryl considered other POS competitors, but he felt they were either too big of to expensive for what he was really looking for. Darryl also says that among his favorite features the finds that:

“The ability to open tabs is great. It allows us to easily and electronically keep track of a customer’s purchase during their visit. Inventory tracking is another great feature. The system will keep track of the number of servings we pour and alert management and staff when a product is near to running out. This is incredibly helpful when pouring beer from taps and you can’t see the quantity remaining in a keg. We’ve been able to easily track sales, see margin reports, simplify tracking staff hours, and anticipate ordering new inventory. “

We also talked about money and asked him how much money did they save upfront and ongoing using SalesVu. They answered

“We estimate that we save on average $50 each month over our previous merchant services, but the time savings that we now have by allowing our staff access to an easy to use interface, and management’s access to SalesVu’s backed reporting and management system are immeasurable.”

Technology arrives at the Falcon Ridge Farm in the form SalesVu iPad POS

Falcon Ridge is a family owned and operated farm located in the beautiful rolling hills of west Tennessee. Expanded throughout 250 acres, they specialize in growing fresh food and fun. There are over 40 different fruits and vegetables grown at Falcon Ridge.  Some of the favorites include strawberries, tomatoes, blueberries, blackberries, kale and sweet corn.  Falcon Ridge grows, harvests and retails everything that is grown on the farm.  They sell some of their fresh produce to farmer’s markets and have open their gates to the public to provide ole fashion family fun. The farm also hosts school field trips, family reunions and picnics.

SalesVu team asked them why they felt the need of obtaining a POS solution. They told us that their main reason was because they conduct business in several locations and needed an easier and more effective system to keep track of their sales.
