KEY’s mission is to heal through classical yogic practices such as breath work, meditation and specific postures. Owner Katrin Elia believes that yoga should be brought back to its roots as practiced in the Western world.

“Yoga is life and not only a body exercise,” said Elia.

KEY, which opened in March, is Elia’s first yoga studio. Elia discovered SalesVu’s POS system in the Apple App Store. After considering PayPal, Elia decided SalesVu was the best POS system for her as it “seemed easy to work with and did not charge fees upfront, only with transactions.”

Katrin Elia Yoga needed an iPad POS because many students come to class all at once and Elia wants to avoid long lines in the office.

“The SalesVu mobile point of sales solution makes it possible to move around,” said Elia.

It was important for Elia that customers be able to sit and relax on their mat in the practice room while the teacher handles payments efficiently.

“I like the fact that the features are easy to handle and easy to understand–very intuitive,” said Elia of the SalesVu iPad POS.

Thanks for the support, KEY! We’re excited to be assisting you run your yoga studio!

See How This Bookstore Emerged from the Stone Age into the Future with SalesVu iPad POS System

New Wine (NW) is a new and used Christian bookstore connected to New Song Worship Center.

NW discovered SalesVu when looking for a POS system that handled inventory and worked with an iPad or iPhone.

SalesVu saved the day for us,” said New Song Pastor David White. “At the time, everything was expensive and SalesVu was free and so easy! For me it was too good to be true.”

Prior to adopting SalesVu, they used Quickbooks but were forced to upgrade.

“The whole system was costly, glitchy and cumbersome,” said Pastor White of Quickbooks. “So glad to get rid of it! I feel like I have emerged from the Stone Age into the future!”

New Wine had also used Square and PayPal but was dissatisfied with inventory control. They chose SalesVu because it is free, handled inventory, worked with the iPad and was the perfect fit for credit card transactions.

“The swiper is great and perfect for accounting purposes,” said Pastor White. “Both Square and PayPal deduct money from each transaction but SalesVu deposits the full amount with a clean monthly billing and reconciliation; much more business savvy!”

New Wine needed an mPOS for ease of use and the ability to sell their products anywhere they go.

“Streamline, portable, very compact and light, instant setup and no limitations,” said Pastor White.

NW’s favorite thing about SalesVu’s iPad POS is the bluetooth barcode scanner connectivity, which makes transactions quick and customer friendly along with the credit card swiper for “incredibly efficient sales!”

“Our customers are very impressed by the ease and speed of the checkout process and love the hi-tech look and feel of the iPad, app, scanner and swiper package,” said Pastor White. “Also, the simplicity of adding and editing inventory and the way it’s displayed and accessed for transactionslove it!”

SalesVu’s iPad POS System is the Perfect Match for Plumbob Design

official-plumbobdesign-logo-small

Tim Andonian, owner of Plumbob Design, a design build shop in the heart of Silicon Valley, designs unique gifts such as picture frames, engraving and signage and mini blocks, which began as a kickstarter project.

“The mini blocks are made for the desktop for ages three and up,” said Andonian. “Each set is completely unique and contains abstract shapes and different types of wood. They inspire creative play in children while giving them a direct experience of complex weighting and balancing. In the office, they can be used as a stress relief executive toy, or used with work group meetings to aid in creative thinking and collaboration.”

Andonian had used Etsy.com prior to adopting SalesVu and decided to research POS systems, such as Square and Intuit. He needed a POS system and credit card reader that would work with his iPad mini.

“I spent some time just searching the web and weighing feature sets of different software and services,” said Andonian. “The ease of setting up the inventory and product list and credit card reader integration seemed like the only choice. Since I am using Etsy as my online shop, I was primarily looking for a solution for being at markets and shows.”

Andonian needs SalesVu’s retail POS in order to make sales outside his garage where he designs his unique products.

“I aim to participate in Farmers Markets and fairs where I want to have a point of sale,” Andonian said.

When managing Plumbob Design through SalesVu’s iPad POS, Andonian enjoys the ease and straightforwardness of tracking inventory on his iPad. Best of all, he can manage his business from anywhere outside his garage.

“I have a POS anywhere I want,” said Andonian.

SalesVu iPad POS System Customer Support is a Standout for Arcieri Confections

1385546_375569549240633_1391957968_n

The Company

  • Arcieri Confections (AC) makes handcrafted artisan bark that is sold at markets, online and by order.

“I have been, and still am, a restaurant designer for 30 years,” said Arcieri Confections Owner Dawn Arcieri. “I have always had a passion for creating desserts and entertaining. Creating the chocolate bark has become a fantastic outlet for that passion, not to mention it is an awesome product that most people seem to truly enjoy.”

The Needs

  • Many orders are purchased on corporate credit cards and AC does not have a storefront, as Arcieri frequently delivers to clients.

Choosing an mPOS

  • In addition to researching SalesVu iPad POS, Arcieri also considered using Square, PayPal and Wells Fargo.

“I did a lot of research when deciding on a POS solution,” said Arcieri. “At first I chose SalesVu for the rates, but as I dug deeper there were many other features that would allow me to adjust as I grew; the customer service was great too! I must have called five or six times before making a final decision and every time the person I spoke to was informative and helpful.”

  • Arcieri’s favorite things about SalesVu are the ability to add and subtract items and rework the inventory as she needed to fit her business.

What Stands Out?

“Everyone at SalesVu has always been so helpful,” said Arcieri. “Amazingly enough, even when I call on a Sunday morning, someone will take the time to walk me through my challenge at the time.”

  • Customer support

“I remember one Saturday right after I had gotten the new swipe device for my iPad, I was at a show and couldn’t get it to swipe; I panicked of course,” said Arcieri. “I called SalesVu and got someone immediately. Thank goodness it was as simple as turning up the volume, but for me it was a life saver at the time!”

The Results

  • AC has saved money on a POS station and software.

“[SalesVu] has made it easier for my clients to make payments other than cash or check,” said Arcieri.

Little Art Theatre Adopts SalesVu iPad POS System

littleart-lobby

The Company

  • Little Art Theatre (LAT) of Yellow Springs, Ohio is a small, single screen, non-profit theater that shows a variety of independent, foreign and mainstream movies and documentaries.

“Education and the arts are high on our priority list,” said Roger Reynolds of LAT. “We offer a venue for special events ranging from weddings and birthday parties to speakers and live music.”

  • LAT has been in business for over 84 years and just completed a $500,000 renovation as part of an upgrade to digital projection and sound.

Why an mPOS?

  • Having an iPad POS solution allows LAT to move outside for special community events in the area.

  • The theater has two stations: one for tickets and one for concessions.

The SalesVu Decision

  • LAT looked at many other POS systems, such as Intuit, Shopkeep and movie theater-specific systems.

  • The theater heard that another local business had recently opened using SalesVu and consulted with them.

“Price was a huge factor for us and having someone else in the area also using SalesVu,” said Reynolds.

The Results

  • Extensive reporting options allows LAT to do a “much better job” on inventory tracking and cash/change errors.

“The end of day reporting is saving on manual actions that we previously performed to track and report theater attendance,” said Reynolds.

  • Save paperwork and employee time

All Zen Boutique Considers SalesVu iPad POS System “a Blessing” for Inventory Tracking, Quickbooks and much more

ZenLogoFinal_full

All Zen Boutique (AZB) is a wellness products boutique that focuses on bringing the comfort and luxury of the spa to you online or at a private venue. AZB is an extension of Owner Nicole Batiste’s holistic health coach practice.

Batiste heard about SalesVu when she was looking for a way to maintain her inventory. She also looked into QuickBooks and Microsoft but both were thousands of dollars.

“I considered them too expensive for a small business like mine,” said Batiste.

Batiste has also used PayPal and Intuit GoPayment.

“I chose SalesVu because it offered the whole POS system, it was more cost effective and you can start small and grow so the scalability of the system is perfect,” said Batiste. “I love that it has a small barcode reader that works with the system and most importantly, it’s portable!”

AZB needs an iPad POS because it involves private venues, events and online sales.

“I do not have a storefront just yet so SalesVu has been a blessing,” said Batiste.

When asked what her favorite feature is, she said “the whole system!”

“I love that I can sync with my QuickBooks online account, the fact that I can maintain my inventory, generate orders and look more professional with my barcode scanner as I’m ringing up client purchases,” said Batiste. “There’s so much I can do with this system.”

Photographer Matt Suess Explains Why He Loves SalesVu iPad POS System for His Business

Suess Fine Art Photography is long-time professional photographer Matt Suess’ business. Suess travels extensively in his RV to photograph which allows him to sell his fine art photography at juried fine art festivals in different states as well as sell online. Suess also teaches photo workshops, online classes, continuously updates his website and maintains his photography blog.

Suess heard about SalesVu’s iPad POS in a forum for art festival artists.

“The post compared it to Square and mentioned many of the benefits SalesVu has over Square,” said Suess.

Prior to using SalesVu, Suess was using Square and had also tried a traditional merchant account with “the large Nurit card readers.”

After reading about SalesVu, Suess compared it with competitors. He researched websites, read comments and asked around for opinions.

“There were a number of reasons I chose SalesVu POS System, such as: the high quality card reader, excellent software for the iPad, a good website with lots of ways for me to control my SalesVu experience, the lowest rate I could find, no monthly fees, excellent and friendly telephone support (even before becoming a customer) and more,” said Suess. “One of the best features is having access to the customer’s email address after sending them an email receipt, unlike Square who doesn’t allow you to get that, which allows me the opportunity to send thank you’s via email and the opportunity to add them to my mailing list.”

Having access to customers’ email addresses is important for Suess as he believes the most effective form of marketing is to contact those that have already purchased from him. This is a feature Suess considers “invaluable.”

“The other great thing is being able to reach customer support right away via the phone,” said Suess. “In setting up my account I had a few questions and contacted support a few times; each time they were friendly and knew what they were talking about.”

The Screen Lady Changes POS Systems After 12 Years

409443_273224112740246_887622733_n

SalesVu’s new customer, The Screen Lady (TSL), is a mobile on-site screen service. TSL specializes in custom fabrications, replacements and repairs of window and door screens. They fabricate and install virtually any kind of custom screen. TSL’s traveling workshop allows them to fabricate screens at customers’ curbside. Their custom trailer, equipped with all the necessary tools, allows them to create customers’ screens on the job the first time around rather than going back and forth and making multiple appointments. This unique mobility creates the obvious need for an mPOS solution to complete payments on-the-spot.

“The customers love it and so do we,” said TSL Owner Nhorma Eischen.

Eischen heard about SalesVu through a Manta recommendation in one of their “best conversations of the week” emails.

  1. “If you are looking for an item to collect money (physical or through the web) and track inventory, send invoices, have gift cards or coupons, then you should look at SalesVu,” read the Manta email. “It has tons of features and is simple to setup. Customer service is excellent. It’s a company I use and highly recommend.”

TSL had used Retriever Payment Systems for 12 years before adopting SalesVu. Eischen accepted their high fees but struggled with their “awful” customer service.

“We used Square on our second mobile workshop for a brief time last year,” said Eischen. “I didn’t like the fact that there was no one you could talk to if you made a mistake with the transaction.”

TSL was tired of having to manually input transactions on their second trailer’s terminal and wanted to avoid the cost of a second terminal. Eischen thoroughly researched SalesVu and interviewed them on the phone after reading about the POS system.

“I could already tell the customer service would be excellent,” said Eischen. “The transactions are secured, the fees are great (no increase for non-swiped cards, unlike Square) and there are no termination fees. I will be paying a termination fee with Retriever and have to finish paying the remaining lease payments on my equipment; this amount is close to $800. Ouch!”

Eischen likes that SalesVu is easy because she considers herself to be “low-tech.” She has also had a great experience with SalesVu and Mercury’s customer service.

“I was initially concerned about SalesVu using Mercury because I had read their reviews which weren’t great but they proved me wrong,” said Eischen. “I will be writing stellar reviews on both SalesVu and Mercury in the near future!”

You can find out more information about The Screen Lady on Yelp and Angie’s List.

SalesVu iPad POS System at Work in the Service Industry

526234_510473415644374_1493906516_n

The service industry loves SalesVu! Hear why our iPad POS is helpful in this industry from our customer, WRENCH, a service-based bicycle shop whose main focus is on repairs rather than bike sales.

WRENCH needs a POS system so they can keep their shop in order, from selling services to ordering and stocking all parts and accessories needed to keep the business running smoothly. WRENCH tried using Square but the system was “too simple” for their taste. They need the ability to create orders and leave them open until customers enter the shop to close them; Square is not capable of this.

“We had several POS options to choose from; we chose SalesVu because of the complexity of the POS system and the customer service we have received so far,” said WRENCH Owner Buck Hazard. “It’s a great POS!”

Hazard likes the ability to email a customer with an open order so they know when their repair is complete. He also like the “pay now” function.

SalesVu, or any iPad POS app, saves small businesses plenty of upfront costs,” said Hazard. “We looked into buying a [traditional] POS system, including hardware, and the costs were very high. Using an app-based [system] allows any business to use their existing iPad.”

You can learn more about this bike shop at www.wrenchbw.com or on Facebook.
